VALERIE RUSK, Senior Instructor

Val picked up her first kettlebell in 2016 and she immediately became addicted.  She was very committed to training and in 2018 she discovered Kettlebell Sport.  Fast forward to 2019, she competed in her first Canadian National Championships and took the leap to compete internationally at the Arnold's Sports Festival.  Val holds the current Canadian National Record for 12kg Snatch and Rank 1 in the 16kg Snatch.

From the start, she loved the challenge of learning new techniques, which made the workouts that much more fun and rewarding. Mastering the techniques meant she started out-lifting the men in her public Kettlebell classes and she knew she had found her superpower. Val will continue to compete and hopes to earn a medal at the Kettlebell Sport World Championships in 2020.
